General

  •  Without previous notice, the organisers reserve the right to change the rules and regulations
  • Participants’ agreement to follow the applicable rules and regulations is demonstrated by their completion of the race entry form.
  • Participants participate in this event voluntarily at their own risk, and while the organisers will take all reasonable measures to ensure their safety, they are responsible for any bodily injuries, loss, and/or damage to property, whether personal or otherwise, and regardless of how such incidents occur.
  • Arbitration will be used to resolve any disagreements resulting from race participation, and it will take place in Colombo and be governed by Sri Lankan law.
  • Those who do not show up for the race will not receive a fee refund once the registration form has been properly processed.
  • The organisers may use any photos, films, audio recordings, or other records of this race and its participants in event advertising or on their social media accounts. Unless the athlete specifies otherwise, team members give the organisers their explicit agreement to use such materials.
  • For safety or other reasons, the organiser of a race may set a cap on the number of competitors.
  • Those who do not show up for the race will not receive a fee refund once the registration form has been properly processed.
  • Race entries are non-transferable.
  • Any disagreements brought about by participants providing inaccurate or incomplete entry information will not be the organisers’ responsibility.
  • On-the-spot entries will not be entertained.
  • Once the entire race registration cost has been paid, the participant’s registration will only be confirmed.
  • The Waiver included in the Registration must be dated and signed by all participants.
  • Each participant must pick up their race kits, which may include bibs, at the location specified by the organiser on the specified date and time. Participants must provide organisers with a NIC or any other official documentation containing their names and birthdates.

Other

  • You must dress comfortably. At all times throughout the race, wear the race numbers on the front of the decorated clothing.
  • Participants must abide by any health and safety laws that are in effect at the time.
  • Your safety and the public’s safety are our top priorities. Please always show consideration and respect for fellow participants and the general public.
  • Unacceptable behaviour and littering on the course will result in disqualification.
  • Please be aware that the organisers disclaim all liability for any theft or loss of participant personal property.

Medical Advisory

  • These races require a lot of physical effort. You must be physically fit to compete, and it is the athlete’s obligation to make sure they are in excellent health and have sought a doctor’s opinion before signing up for the race.
  • Alcohol, stimulants, and other narcotics of any type should not be consumed before the race, participants are warned. Disqualification will follow from any violations.
  • On race day, participants must make sure they are well-rested and well-hydrated..
  • Participants are advised to dress lightly.
  • Any participant who feels unwell during the race should stop and tell a volunteer, who will make arrangements for them to receive medical assistance from a competent medical expert.
  • Participants must supply a contact person’s name and phone number in case of an emergency. This person needs to be a non-participant, contactable in an emergency, and available both during and after the event. If the athlete becomes disabled, the emergency contact should be someone who can make decisions on their behalf.
